Those creepy eyes

They often say that the eyes are the window to the soul, and nothing could be more true in the Emion world. It was well known that people with powers often had had exceptionally bright eyes, even brighter when they were actually activated those powers. Over the years it became an easy way to spot those kind of people and hunt down the most dangerous of them, as those were the children with the brightest eyes. Of course the espers became quite savvy at hiding the telltale signs of their powers. Some wore hats or glasses to cover their eyes. Others came up with a technique to suppress their energy so their eyes wouldn't have that distinct glow, although that would be of no use in actual battle.

Sato was of one of those kids that learned how to hide early on. He was so good at suppressing his powers that most people didn't even realize he was an esper, let alone an illegal one. Even within the organization only a few people saw the true extend of those powers. Most of them didn't make it out alive.

Yes. The glowing eyes are actually part of the story. Now you know ^^
