Description
The city near the former power plant was a ghost town. It used to be a flourishing community, but was hastingly evacuated after the explosion. It had been more than ten years since the accident and all that was left of it were its gloomy remains. Cracked roads, abandoned cars and houses, broken power lines, and those big warning signs they put up to warn people for the radiation. They always made Karim chuckle. He willingly ignored them. He had learned to survive in situations like these, but most important: He knew how to use his powers to shield himself from the radiation.
Even though it didn't hurt Karim, he wanted to keep his visit to this place as short as possible. He didn't like the way it looked. He didn't like the way the energy around it felt. He didn't like that faint afterglow that undoubtedly played tricks on his eyes. It was all too much a grim reminder of the past.
The religious people from Darkai called the second apocalypse. In their eyes only a god could wreak that kind of havoc. Even though Karim never believed in any god, he could not deny that something strange happened on that day. He worked with Espon at the time. They were anti-government. They always hoped to see that power plant fall down, but even shook their heads when they heard the news. There were just too many victims.
I wanted to make more finished pieces this year (with both characters and backgrounds) so here we go.
Mostly used google maps as a reference and tried to keep the colors somewhat more realistic.
Also... this took me waaaaaaaaaay to many hours T__T

Awesome. Looks so desolate and lonely.
