I'll bring you home by DamaiMikaz I'll bring you home by DamaiMikaz
It was a silent evening. The temperature had only dropped since the sun settled down, but Sato didn't really care. The energy residing in his body always kept him warm, even if it was cold outside. He continued walking through the ghetto. It calmed down since the last time he went here. Did the circumstances finally improve, or was it because he had killed all criminals by now? He smirked. He must have had eliminated at least a few of those organizations by now. Not that he cared. He hated those fake mobsters anyway.

A small squeak resounded between the buildings. Curious, he looked at the place where it came from. From a container, a dog looked at him. It was small, only a puppy, and it seemed to be terribly cold. It had snow all over his coat and was shaking. In a strange way, Sato felt sorry for the creature. It was probably left there by humans, unable or unwilling to take care for. Carefully he kneeled down. And to his surprise, the dog didn't even run away. Strange. Animals were usually afraid for him, as they could feel the energy radiating from his body, but this puppy didn't seem to be afraid at all. He licked Sato's face, as the boy picked it up. And somehow, Sato smiled.

"Don't worry" he said, as he took the small creature with him through the snow. "I'll bring you home."

Made for the Turning tables contest:…
This was all about turning the tables for your OC's. Making either a good character go evil or an evil character redeem itself. While it would be awfully tempting to make one of my better characters go batshit insane (since, well, I somehow like writing about insane characters), I liked doing another approach and make my worst character do something good, for a change.

More Sato (yes, the usual evil version):

Diggin' the atmosphere, and the atmospheric perspective on the snow. I think since you have the red from the scarf reflecting on his under eye lids and nose it would be good to put in some red on the lip, hair, and other reflective surfaces, also on the sweater and the puppy blanket, the puppy, and even near by snow flakes. Any where it is reflective, color receptive material, or possibly wet would work. Of course this is coming from me, who has a long way to go in color practice. XD It wouldn't hurt to round out the mitten more too. Fuzzing/blurring the far part of his body, and putting in some more snow wont take away from his presence either, more like putting him in with his suroundings. :3

I love this piece, it has eye catching colors and expressions. The snow and fluttering red scarf to match this characters eyes, is beautiful! The expression is defiant, confident, and as well as the soft expression of the sleeping puppy. It leaves a bit of the mystery of what is behind them and what is the story of the puppy. The blue and white also make a statement as the colors are light and airy. Contrasting against the character's dark blue jacket and dark hair, and the blue grey tinge to their skin makes them look cold. Though bright red eyes and said scarf heat up the picture so the person doesn't fade into the background too much.

Really nice piece, the soft snow and tender hold of the puppy work clash effectively against his red eyes and vacant stare. I like it :)
