I already did this a few weeks back, but when I saw this contest, I immediately wanted to submit this to it, because I think it does show some great improvement.

2010 vs 2012


Edit: What's with all that crap people saying the first one is better? True... you might not like the new pose or composition or something. But from a strictly art-quality related few, the new one is way better. Or at least it has better colors and anatomy

I think the reason the first one is so popular is due to the fact it's anime. Anime is very popular around here for some unknown reason (sorry, no offence intended. I never got why anime was/is so appealing)
I do like the colour in the first ones eyes though. I like blue.. A lot.
But the second one is a lot better, it looks painted whereas he first one doesn't in a way. If you know what I mean.. I'm really bad at explaining what I mean which is why I'll probably never make a proper tutorial.

What IS all this crap about the before being better?
I can imagine its because the before one looks 12x more animu than the new one, which animu is pretty popular at the moment.
I love the new one! :heart: It's all around improvement, and the media just looks better (along with the anatomy c; ).

I like them both. The difference is how old they look. The first one looks young, like a child. The second one looks much older and more detailed. Both are amazing!
